I get some real stinkers in my head, tunes I just really don’t like. Fortunately I can’t remember any recent ones, however Claret Tony has beggared that up by mentioning the awful Penny Arcade.

Should our new ground be on top of Pendle Hill then? It’s quite flat along the top, and opposing teams won’t like the walk from the dressing rooms in Barley village (if they can get parked that is) up those random steps at the Big End

I thought pivot was used in old-school football reporting to describe the centre half, probably arising from the time before the 60s when there was a man between the two full backs, with numbers 4 and 6 the wing halves who did a bit of both defending and attacking

I see you know as much about acting as you do about music. What’s with this Bobby Fuller nonsense. It was Sonny Curtis and the Crickets 1959. Correct I know nothing about acting but a lot about watching. Ok Bobby Fuller not the original but the first 45 version of it, pretty sure the Crickets was a...

Nearly all these obscure players fit into the ‘ahh, now you mention him’ category for me. My first recollection was a Taskers selves service store on Westgate, in the fifties. Re: Brownhill
Brownhill - tend to agree. I’d like him to sign and it’s possible that he’s now at his peak and would do better in the Premier League, but the reality is that we have two relegations under our belts where he’s featured heavily in midfield. So I’d like to sign him for the likely relegation because h...
