Re: THE SUPER CLARETS vs Derby County - Match Thread

Poor excuse blaming the pitch. It isn’t great. But the ball has been passed about along the deck all night without an issue. I didn't blame the pitch, I was just pointing out various factors that made this a difficult game. We weren't good enough and reverted back to the over cautious style we've a...

Re: The Worst Decision Since ... When?

I was certain the goal would have been disallowed today, last time I felt like that only for the goal to stand was the foul on Trafford against Luton when we drew 1 all last season. As per Rooster's post though, that was down to interpretation so not as bad a decision as today

Re: THE SUPER CLARETS vs THE SWANS - Match Thread

Does Flemming do enough? I’m not having a go but he just doesn’t seem involved very much. Good run and cross for the 1st goal. He doesn't look like a natural target man though, although looks to get fouled a lot but not often given his way. General consensus on here is that he's being played out of...

Another ref who let them push, pull, kick and break up play every time we turned the ball over. Only yellow cards dished out when he had no other choice. Edwards particularly targeted. He let a blatant yellow go for Cullen too, just completely useless and zero control

Worst display from an official this season, which is some achievement. Allowed them to foul constantly to break up play by not carding them, Frokjaer gave away 3 or 4 free kicks in about 5 minutes. Aside from the dreadful decisions, I lost count of how many times he blocked players' runs and was hit...

The ref was awful but I’m getting pretty hacked off with the childish, petulant fouls being committed by the same players in our team time and time again. If Villa beat Brighton on Sunday and Spurs lose to Liverpool it leaves Spurs them unable to get into 4th place so nothing to play for against us so we'll breeze past them. That's the optimist in me :D
