Re: A Turf Moor anthem needed- ideas?
Revive “Cant help falling in love”. When I first watched Burnley in early 80s (I’m a kiwi who has followed Burnley since 1973), it fair made my hair stand on end. Just felt so right. And finished with strong “The Burnley!” chants. Really worked, not sure why it fell away. Shame in a way that Sunderl...

Isidor & Rudoni potential targets? Latter could shape as a Brownhill replacement (if needed).

Re: Tonight’s Football
Worthwhile to pause and reflect on what the table would have looked like now had we lost to Blades on Monday - 2 points behind them and a hell of a lot of pressure on the game at QPR. Would not be fun.
Thank F for Easter Monday!

Agree that Manning should have been in the frame as Bristol City, to me, are the clear 'over-achievers' of 24/25 (to date)

Re: That was our chance
Are we in a scenario where an appeal could conceivably result in a longer suspension? I am unsure of current rules, but my understanding is that suspensions can be, and have been, lengthened if it is viewed that the appeal is trivial (ie, essentially wasting the disciplinary committee's time). Not ...

Re: That was our chance
Has there been a decision yet on appealing CJ's dismissal? And if so, when would the outcome be known? Otherwise, presumably a 3-match suspension.Dark Cloud wrote: ↑Wed Mar 12, 2025 5:58 pmBy far the worst thing about last night was the sending off. That's going to hurt far, far more than the 2 dropped points.

Re: Why do you support Burnley?
One of life's great mysteries. Burnley somehow picked me. As a young New Zealand teen, in 1973 having watched the first live telecast of an FA Cup final, I decided to follow football rather than rugby (which I had played up until that time like most Kiwis). And football was becoming increasingly pop...

Re: Sheff Utd v Leeds match thread
So, a very real chance that the record set by Leeds last season of 90 points and not achieving promotion will be broken (play-off outcome notwithstanding).

Re: Bauress / McDermott
Did you watch it ? McDermott was spraying 30 yard passes and flicked the ball over 2 of their players head and found a pass. Bauress grew into the game. Agree defence is the he best group in the league bar none Pretty sure that the "they" referred to in me01jh's post as not touching the ball in the...

Re: New BFC Membership scheme
OK, I'm a New Zealand based Burnley supporter who will celebrate being 50 years a Claret on Aug 25 this year. I just 'adopted' the club as a teen in NZ. It's been a hell of a ride since and I haven't regretted a moment of it! I've been over quite a few occasions (I'm not from Burnley) highlights bei...
