Some very balanced and fair minded comments on here. I accept the offside was the correct decision in that the goal was disallowed in real time and that was ‘probably’ the right decision. The penalty was not the right decision. VAR should only get involved when there is a clear and obvious error. I ...

Good luck to Danny. He was fantastic for us in 2013/14. He didn’t do much wrong the following season and his transfer was inevitable. Terrible luck with injuries throughout his career.

Would rather have him than Trafford this season …that is not to say that in the longer term Trafford will not be a better keeper but he is still young for a keeper and has some developing to do. DUbravka looked rock solid against Sunderland and his distribution was noticeably quicker than JT’s.

I would bloody hope not. I can't say for certain how we signed him, whether it was a free from them or whether they had released him and we picked him up. The inconvenience for me is neither here nor there…or at worst a first world problem. I left in time added on and had an extra 200 yards to jog, before setting out on my long journey home. Enjoyable game. Going back to Geoff Nulty, it took him a while to find his best position for us. He had periods as a supplementary striker, a centre half and a midfielder.
