Re: Football Heritage - the Orient Game

If you don’t think the Orient game was a turning point, you weren’t around at the time. Yes, it took a while to get promoted, but the passion returned. For a start our home attendances doubled the following season. Wembley added to that momentum.

I might have imagined this, but I seem to recall McCarthy putting out a very weakened side out against Man U in our 2010 relegation season, preserving his best team for the 6 pointer against us the following week...I think it worked too as they ragged a narrow win.. I don’t think there is much argument about Dubravka. In time Trafford may be better, but Dubravka as well as being a fine all round keeper has experience and solidity and that is what we need right now

Ange will want Forest to play in a different way with a high press. Or that is what he has said. Their League cup game at Swansea will be a clue because he says that he wants to see the change in style from Wednesday. That should suit us. Luis for Les next Saturday.

Dubravka 9. A very assured performance. A couple of routine saves and one ‘for the camera’. Good punching. Overall surprisingly little to do Walker 8. Cool calm and collected.
