The secret to safely opening corned beef, is to take the paper off the tin 1st. Rolling the tin and paper onto the opener is a disaster waiting to happen.

Great report Tony. There's still a couple of typos in there though.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sun Aug 24, 2025 9:29 pmI'm equally baffled, not sure where that came from and I definitely didn't write it, but I always write the reports in Word before transferring them and it's in there too.

Re: Cornish Pasties
Are any of these traditional pasties, with the pudding at one end? I haven't seen them like this, although I know it was the original idea. The reason was for the miners to be able to eat both foods, the pastry protected it from the dust, and the crust was there to hold the pasty with dirty hands, ...

Consider switching to pineapple. Decent sized ones for about a quid in most supermarkets. Excellent source of vitamin C and other nutrients; tasty and easy enough to keep and chop up if you have a sharp knife. Amazing how cheap they are. I like Pineapple, (just not on Pizza). The benefit is that unlike electricity you can store hydrogen so whilst currently we pay to keep windfarms turned off when there isnt the demand for the e...
