Re: ICONIC moments in football that you’ve seen live!

Can't recall now what year it was (mid/late 60's? and Burnley were playing Man United at the Turf. George Best had the ball and was racing down the wing with John Angus back pedaling in front of him. Best played the ball between Johns' legs and shot off round Angus down the wing. But Angus was back ...

I'm not sure that the England penalty would have been given had it occurred in the mens' game. Or should I say I've seen worse (in the mens' game) not given. Still you've got to give to the ladies. Re: Leeds appreciation society

I think I have to give credit to Leeds for playing the way they have. The stats against Bristol speak for themselves. 23 shots, 12 on target. 74% possession. 93 goals scored so far this season. 29 conceded. I know we've got some pretty impressive stats too but I think there's a few Burnley fans who,...

I do hope we prevail and get the job done tomorrow. It's going to test the nerves as it is never mind what they'd be like if we lose and still need 4 points from our last two games. Let's not count our chickens as they say but.... as long as we don't lose at Watford then we're in with more than a very good chance even if Sheff. Utd win their game. But if we win at Watford then even if we lose to Utd on Monday then it's still in our hands. Either way it's going to be a difficult...

Before the game I was hoping for a win and 3 points. At half time I was hoping we'd go on and score a few more. When Norwich got their goal I was getting worried. But all's well that ends well and we got the 3 points. And hopefully no more injuries. And that will put a tad more pressure on Leeds and...

Without doubt an impressive record even though at times our football hasn't been that great to watch. Nevertheless it's what we do over the next 12 or so games that counts. You've got to hand it to Leeds.
They've come back twice now against Sunderland and now against

Tonights' result just about cements the title for them.

I suppose most Clarets would wish for Leeds to beat Sheff. Utd next Monday and for us to beat Seff. Wed. on Friday. And then for us to match or beat Utd. results until we meet at the Turf. A must win in the sense that if we don't then the volume in terms of
'moans and groans ' will intensify and put additional pressure on the manager
and players.
I think the players will more than likely see it as a must win
and will hopefully got out and do the business - so to speak.

We've played 11 at home and only conceded 4 having also scored 15.

THe next four games could well decide our season
and whether we can compete for a top 2 place.

So if we are be in the top two then
we need to win at Sheff. Utd
A draw at Middlesboro
Beat Stoke
And at least a draw at Rovers

That's 8 points and I'd be happy with that.
Any more and I'd be delighted.

Wonder now whether he was first choice before Parker was appointed.

And if so.... if Parker was to leave for whatever reason whether
