Give him 12 games in Championship but no more if not going well. I’d curb the spending in Summer too but sell off some of the dross if we can. Go on then. I'll join in. Where would we have to be for you to decide things are 'not going well'? How much would you allow him to spend if his spending has...

Re: Going Down With Barely a Whimper
Whilst we dont have players with the skill level of Isak, Guimaeres, Almerion and Joelinton etc (can’t think of a Burnley player that would get into their 1st eleven) they didn’t give up like some are implying. I disagree. Heads completely gone at 0-2 and at 0-3 too many players didn't want the ball.

30th April 1962. A game in an exciting era often overlooked. Despite an appearance in the FA Cup Final five days later we completed a very disappointing end of season run-in with a 4-0 defeat at Sheff Wed. 28/4 73. A final game of the season away at Preston. Anyone who was there that day doesn't need me to describe the scenes. For those that weren't we needed a point to be promoted as champions; we got it with a 1-1 draw in front of a crowd that could safely be described as very Claret. Wonderful end ...

The game between Birmingham and Preston was a tea time kick off and I think that Wallace's winner for them meant we had to wait a bit longer to ensure a play off place.

That's classic Leighton scoring for Swansea. On a dry pitch he takes the ball perfectly, gets the defender where he wants him and then caresses the ball into the net.
