We do need players that can provide quality and a goal threat off the bench. I think the harsh reality of football at this level is beginning to show itself. That Shrewsbury footage though. Remarkable.
The game at Sheffield should not have gone ahead. I suspect it would have been abandoned at half time but with us leading 0-2 that was not likely to happen.

Me either. Expecting he’d stay if we went down though, Sargent and Flemming would be a very good pairing at that level. Nothing like planning ahead is there? A team at the bottom can more afford a sick note player than a team at the top. e.g. if Wilson was fit for 15 games for us he could help us get 5 wins, and those 5 wins could be the difference. It doesn’t negate from the fact that we have 5 players in that position in the first team squad.

If we are to bring more in then 2-3 off them definitely have to move on.
Barnes being a non-playing player creates a problem. Flemming deserves his chance. The rest can leave for me.

I disagree. One captain is what we need. He may have deputies but the role of the captain is probably undervalued and it is vital that we play to his directions and guidance. Who's going to listen to who if there are multiple captains?
