Yeah i know this obviously, but if you aren't setup for life already after bring paid handsomely for many years then he's done something wrong. Howard Wilkinson has a lot to answer for. Just watched it and have to say my initial sceptical thoughts on these players changed as I watched.
I was very moved by Brian Deane when he reflected on his dead mother. Sean Davis thinking about suicide. They are victims by two ruthless smarmy conmen.

Didn't realise Sargent was injury prone. Makes his scoring record even better. He played 36 games last season so wouldn’t call that particularly bad and looks on top form. Would have loved him here. That said according to Nixon, and I appreciate it’s Nixon who has a tendency to come up with nonsens...

I note that Nield has never issued a red card in his entire league career and his yellow count is much lower than many. Not sure what that says about him but his ability to spot a foul from nothing is clearly obvious.

I think season 2 has seriously damaged Pace’s reputation. I actually warmed to him. Very loyal to Kompany. Fans in the BL stand obviously appreciate how approachable he has been been throughout. Kompany himself. Not to finer point on it a PR disaster. But he wont care now he’s moved on. Wasn’t arou...

Preparing for the championship can begin in earnest in May. Sell the ones who don’t want to drop a League, cut the wage bill on those who aren’t worth PL wages if we can by letting them go too. Then buy good young players hungry and keen as we did 18 months ago.
