Re: Roll Call For The Emirates
Me, after being in London since Friday attending the biggest booze up of the year. Or as it is officially known, The Babcock Trophy Army v Navy Rugby Match at Twickenham 8-) Got to be honest - this game is the biggest pain in the backside for those of us who live over the road from rugby HQ. You’ll...

Re: STATEMENT: Supporters Groups respond to Arsenal ticket allocation
Absolutely no doubt that the club should have taken the full allocation on this occasion. It might not have allowed everyone who wanted to attend the game a ticket -but at least more would have stood a chance. Communications have been pretty poor all round but it seems the media manager is more comf...

Re: Lancashire League starts this week - which is your club?
Am not directly answering CT’s question but I played for Read in the late 70s/80s so they will always be my club. Some great old characters taught me a lot about life at an early age at Whalley Road -still see a few of them watching the Clarets. Hard to believe the cricket season is almost upon us g...

Re: That's that then...
Neither the Pope or Tarkowski were first choices when they arrived at Turf Moor - both bided their time and are now established in the first team. So it was always unlikely that they would feature in the starting XI of their first squad. Pope has never experienced international football at any level...

Re: 2017/18: Watford v Burnley – Ticket Information
Just checked online and tickets for Vicarage Road are now on sale for those with 3000+ points.
Not sure why these are available earlier than planned - have booked mine now - but those who qualify might like to know that they don't need to wait until the morning, as originally anticipated.

Think I’ll just open the front window and listen to them - save myself a few bob. Might be a World Cup game on at the same time so can watch that too.

Re: Fish n chips London
I find top quality fish and chip shops a bit thin on the ground to be honest. Post 4 references the Fryers Delight in Holborn which is a belter..sit down in that one. There was/is a decent one on Endell Street on the Edge of Covent Garden. The best one I know by miles is the Seashell on Lisson Grov...

Re: U2 at Twickenham..
Though I could hear U2 - who sounded decent enough - couldn't really work out what was going on between songs. Perhaps mumbo jumbo is a bit harsh......just couldn't work out what was being said. Don't really care either, though pleased that those that attended enjoyed the concert(s) and wonderful lo...

Re: U2 at Twickenham..
Quite literally I wouldn't cross the road to see U2.....and indeed I haven't again tonight. However, by opening the window I can hear them loud and clear.
All the hits at the start, and then at the end. Some mumbo-jumbo in between!!

Re: New TeamCards Arriving Soon - tale of woe...
A postal re-direction does seem the obvious solution - for the new card and all other correspondence that might be sent to the OP's old address. Until CT's intervention the club's response does seem to be fairly unhelpful though time and again this type of exercise seems to create some difficulties ...

Re: Eating/drinking around West London
Thanks for the info. Iv found an Italian called la dolice vita, amazing reviews Should be fine. There is a Nando's attached to the Travelodge and a Pizza Express immediately opposite. Not my cup of tea - but handy if you can't be bothered to walk. Alternatively, a number of other places on Broad St...

Re: Eating/drinking around West London
Agree re Bushy Park. Always been a much better option than RP which is full of wannabe Bradley Wiggins types.
Plenty of decent places to eat in Teddington and Twickenham. If you fancy somewhere between the two then the Alexander Pope hotel is very good for an evening meal.

Twickenham - where I live at present.
It's full of pate, olives and quinoa.....and truly is rather wonderful.

Re: It's my fault we lost yesterday
I have a lucky polo shirt and a few other lucky clothing items, I only realised this during our 23 game run last season, I have used this ensemble of clothing well this season. Bristol City will feel the pain of my lucky clothes and if successful a quick washing turn around for Leicester and hey pr...

I agree - more frustrating than annoying but must be easy to sort out for someone who knows what they are doing.
