Re: Who Will Be Our First Signing
Hi, watched him very closely at Scot Browns Testimonial game a week last Sunday, have to say I was quite impressed with him. I accept it was a very friendly affair, but throughout his time on the pitch, he really did put a shift in, more so than any of the others. He was neat, tidy, good control, an...

Re: So how much will we get...
In replay to post 7, there have been many threads on the Europa League and it puzzles me why their is a thought that it will be a cost for us to take part. Firstly clubs who qualify receive a payment, also further payments for winning and progressing and also nobody has even taken into account that ...

Just heard that the ex Claret youth player has decided to pursue his career back in Australia as his contract at Morecambe has come to an end. Good luck to the lad, although from what I saw of him, I doubted that he would become a regular at League Two level, maybe Conference, but not league football

Re: End to match day programmes
In reply to MikeS poster 22 , this isn't about Burnley or Premier league clubs, this is being put forward to EFL clubs for their AGM to vote on having e a choice or not. Its about maybe Checkatrade games, also they may have a Saturday /Tuesday game, two close together at Xmas, its about giving them ...

Re: End to match day programmes
Having been involved at a Football League club, and editor of the programme at one point, and a collector of Burnley progammes, amongst other programmes. It would be a sad day if clubs stopped producing . It wont be an issue for Premier/Championship clubs but the cost for small production runs and l...

Re: having a chuckle
I would think that one of the reasons for Lancs Police agreeing is that the league 1 game could and should be police free . Peterborough will do well to bring more than 250 to a midweek televised game, and no great history of causing trouble

Re: South Shields Kit 2018-19
I suspect, in their terms, the embroidered badge makes it bespoke, although that may be pushing things a bit. The other thing is, having dealt with a lot of the major players in the kit field over the last 25 years, I don't think anyone out of the big companies, Puma included, would produce a one of...

Re: Clitheroe CC Not Guilty
I have followed this thread and various other related threads since the start of last season with great interest. I played cricket in the Northern League, and I have been intrigued to see how Darwen, Cltheroe and Great Harwood would compete after moving leagues. I think it is fair to say that Northe...

Re: Whatever happened to Graham white .....
Last I heard, from a very reliable ex employer of Colne Dynamo , was that he is living with his family in Northern Ireland, and only keeps in touch with very few of the ex Colne players / management . I am told also that whilst he did owe money to a number of people on the football side(players /man...

Re: Blonde haired girl on our bench
Hi folks. The lady is a Premier League Match Manager. Every Premier league game has a Match Manager, and ours is usually a lady called Jackie Brass, and I do think she did the Liverpool game on Sunday as well. People may ask what does Match Manager do. Basically she is in charge of the matchday from...

Re: Dermot Cooke
I would add that Dermot lived in Burnley for most for most of his life, and if my memory serves me correctly lived on Hebrew Street. I think he had been an official at Rossendale and Clitheroe before coming to Morecambe.

Dermot Cooke
A bit of a longshot really - someone has told me that Dermot has passed away. I knew him when he was Secretary at Morecambe Football Club prior to myself taking over, early 1990's. I know he umpired in the Lancashire League, but have lost touch with him over the last few years. If anyone knows any d...

Re: ARTICLE: Ross County are the latest club daft enough
The Ross County players should all look smart if he gets his mate, the ex Wigan kit man a job up there(and he does live in Scotland!), he's already got his other parasitic mate a job there.

The building is still there, (although many changes to it have taken place). It is now called VVV Fitness Club, although at one point in the 1980's it was a disco/night club and restaurant, although cant remember its name. it is just off the Coastal Road as you leave Morecambe(passing Happy Mount Pa...

Re: TV/RADIO pundits fees ?
I would suggest that the figure quoted by claptrapper is way off the mark. £250.00, after the pundits have paid tax at 45% they would have nothing left. It has been suggested to myself, by a match commentator, that the figure for doing a Sky match slot(if not contracted to Sky) is in the region of £...

Re: I bet the barsteward who chartered that plane is feeling smug now!
The other person beside Simon Garner involved in the escaped was a chap called Frank Miller, who runs some fund raising events for BRFC. The funny thing about all this is that as long standing Secretary of Morecambe FC I did have chance to get a small amount of revenge for Garner's prank It was the ...
