Re: Clarets vs Sunderland
Losing to Sunlan 1-0 away isn't disgraceful. They're a lot better than the teams we've played so far and we're clearly out of sorts. Agree that the performance is bad and there's absolute chaos caused by the player sales, but I think we should expect some days like these, IMO.

Putting money in an unregistered "currency" with no backing, no regulation, and no recourse if they nick it, is a game for very high rollers who don't mind losing the lot. Not for me, thanks. I never rated Howey - I suspect he somehow impressed Waddle during his sojourn there in the season before he took over here. 250k or whatever it was was crazy money to be spending on someone with little pedigree and - by his own admission - dodgy knees. He got found out quickly, but don't blame him ...

We got thumped by a majestic Wolves team, but what a difference a year made (the Orient game).
I was far more obsessed with Burnley as a 9-year-old than I am now, so it was quite an occasion.

Most awkward one I’ve had was at Huddersfield watching them play Bradford City. I was sat in the away end when I suddenly heard someone shout, “what are you doing in here you Burnley w@nker”? Can you contain yourself if we score? Will you “blend in” if they score (I know they need the ball first to do that). I had to do that many moons ago at Belle Vue when we played Doncaster away. The M2s are great. MacBooks are expensive, but they are better. I've always had a soft spot for United. I attended uni in Sheffield and all the decent people were United supporters.
Aren't they up the proverbial if they don't get promoted this year? I thought I read somewhere that they're in a similar position to us when Coyle took us up.
