Standard of the top teams in the Saudi league is pretty good - as Al HIlal proved at the Club World Cup (drawing with Real Madrid and beating Man City).

But it drops off pretty strongly outside of the elite teams.

Worth remembering that as of today, ALK/Velocity/Pace etc haven't actually completed the takeover of Espanyol.

The club is still in the hands of the Chinese owners while the Spanish sports ministry body (CSD) evaluate the takeover and issue an approval.

JJ doing the whole 'drink a few beers with the fans' routine looks very fake when he has already done it with one set of fans.

The Multi Club Ownership model can work but I am not sure the 'celebrity fan' part of it can work as well with multiple teams.
