    best thing to do is to keep quiet until the club pass comment ... a) Those that don't know anything for sure are merely speculating b) Those that do know "something" are risking their own or somebody else's job/future by discussing or even hinting at confidential medical information on an open forum...

    Maybe ... I am of the mindset that while I am fit enough I might just keep going , at the moment I kind of take the view that for me retirement is to be avoided .None of us can be sure what is around the corner so yes for now I think I will continue ...

    Or write a book or two !!

    A fair point other than Palace don't have a reliable keeper or ANY reliable strikers so I think injuries notwithstanding Tom would walk into their side any day of the week as would any two of our strikers .. Benteke is a liability for Palace

    They do vary a lot but the point is they are allowed to as they don't have the pro/amateur distinction .. some pay nothing .. some expenses ... some wages ...one in North Wales pays bigger wages than a certain League club within a few miles of Turf Moor ...

    There is a lot more work to be done .. don't forget where the current management has had to start from. The academy rating is conditional and fluid - a work in progress.

    It might be better for England/FA to take over the academies or coaching of all kids until 18 then let clubs buy from the system. Each club could contribute X amount per year towards it.
