A guy i work with supports Jagiellonia Białystok. He reckons Churlinov was a bit hit and miss to start with but has been exceptional since and probably the best player in that league this season.

I’ve had a BMW iX for 12m now and done 13k miles. Mainly regular 60m commute and pottering about with the family. Occasional long drives (250m+) for work or family hols. Range is up to 240 in summer and around 180 in winter. If you can plug it in at home every night and charge it up with all the ran...

I was in Hospitality seats with my dad and some friends for the Reading game. We were talking to some Reading supporters at half time and all agreed that the next goal would either give Reading the momentum to win the tie, or it would kill them off if we scored. When the goal went in, watching that ...

Re: Will you miss VAR this season?

I took my 10yr old daughter to the 3-1 defeat to Villa at home last season. When Cornet ran through on goal to score for us, she instinctively sensed the goal scoring threat, jumped to her feet with excitement and celebrated when he scored. I thought that he was offside and said to her, “it probably...

4G/5G is a great alternative if you can't get a decent domestic broadband service. You can buy a 4G+ router for around £110 and install a sim card. EE do an unlimited data package for £35/month, but there are alternatives depending on how much data you use and which provider gives the best signal in...

I'll never forget that day. We had a new sofa delivered and I'd booked a morning delivery slot to make sure I could get to the game. The sofa arrived on time but the delivery men forgot to drop off the bolts and brackets that join it all together. We had a baby and no other furniture so the Mrs put ...

Lee Grant though? He was gash Really goes to show how far we've come and how good we have it now. I thought Grant was as good as we could hope for at the time, and was worried when he left. But the guy who sits next to me couldn't resist any opportunity to criticise him. I recall on one game, Grant...

Just drove to trafford centre. To the electric charging points. What a ballache. Lug out them big stupid cables. Set it all up and you need a card for these particular ones and the electric costs more than petrol... Bloke next to me had same car. And he was raving about it. Not surprised... he had ...

Yes was charged up. Think i used eco pro mode but cant remember actually. Havent sussed how it charges itself yet. Does it need to be in a certain mode? Still very good to drive. Just drove to Manchester. Got 30mpg  Gonna get the calculator out. A diesel or petrol MAY be a better option. When considering bootspace, awd option and electric costs. The phev mpg is a total false economy but its worse than I thought. Probably still work out better but it isnt clear cut. E...

Then you tentatively press the accelerator, more out of hope than expectation, and it creeps off like a thief in th...

Bootspace lancaster. You might have spotted this already Cricket field, the false floor in the boot will collapse to give a bit of extra depth at the rear. Gave it a run tonight. Ridiculously quiet - even when in petrol mode. Very good to drive. Handling good. Acceleration very good for that car. In short in terms of handling, comfort, performance probably one of the best all rounder cars i can imagine. Doesnt really need anything else in that sense. ...

Re: Outlander PHEV

Everyone's motoring is different so it's never a simple calculation, but as a rough rule of thumb, if you can charge it up in between journeys (4hr charge from 0% to full) and you're doing many journeys under 100 miles, it's probably worth it financially. If you can also charge at your destination, ...

Its the tax aspect that looked appealing. But with high mileage (especially motorway) probably nowhere near as economical as they first sound. And probably not all that enjoyable. There's a few company car 530e's at my work. One of the guys has never charged his and averages 30mpg, doing a mix of d...

It was a very strange goal, normally you have a sense that a shot is, or might be going in. This one was in the net and back out again whilst I was still wondering what he was going to do with it.

I sit in the JHU, in line with the ‘D’ at the cricket field end so had a good view. It looked a foul, but outside the box. His momentum whilst falling carried him into the box I think.

Re: Which Ford Cosworth did you like?

Not quite a Cosworth, but from the same era... I had a Renault 5 GT Turbo in my younger years. It was running about 180bhp in the end and the overall driving experience was simply marvellous. The performance and noise in something not much sturdier than a tin can was just rediculous. I’ve driven mor...

St Venky's Day

For around 15yrs, Arsenal fans have used the name 'St Totteringham's Day' to commemorate the day on which their superior league position over Spurs is confirmed. The only man to blame today was our manager. Ludicrous that Defour did not come on at half time to play in the middle. Clearly we won't see him again now. What a waste of talent and money. I thought the game was crying out for Defour's quality on the ball in the second half, but Mourinho got the ta...

Interesting view Steve, did Tarkowski do something specifically to make you think he's not up to standard in the premier league? I thought he brought the ball out from the back and distributed well. There were a couple of moments where he lost the ball, but he's had very little game time and united ...

Gray has been criticised for poor control and being frequently caught offside. I've certainly felt those are areas of his game that, if improved, could consolidate him as a very good premier league player. But credit where it's due, I don't recall him being offside against spurs and he controlled al...

Creaney's gut was immense. I remember being really excited that we'd signed a premiership striker, then totally gobsmacked when he came on for his debut. He was good though and I'm sure he scored a lot of goals for us.
