Re: From the Bee Hole End podcast…

Are you taking the P*ss? Sunderland are 5th. The other team outside the top 6 or 7 we have played, aside from Forest, are United and we lost - that's 1 point in 6 from teams outside the top 6 or 7. It’s quite obvious he’s talking about teams outside the ‘usual’ (for the past 20 years) top 6/7, and n...

Re: From the Bee Hole End podcast…

United, for their flaws under this manager, have the player quality to blow teams away, at home in particular. We had a poor first half, but excellent second, and really should have left with a point - make no mistakes. However, their record at Old Trafford v newly promoted teams in the past 10 seas...

Looking like we gave them too much respect.
First game nerves from us probably. Started with Laurent in centre mid.

He was one of those who looked good on paper at Brighton, his teams had a good xG record but that was used to suggest that the team were going to come good under him rather than question why he was underperforming the stats. The improvement after he left suggested it may well have been the latter. ...

Parker needs to now stop setting up so defensively and we need Cullen, Florentino AND Ugochukwu in a midfield 3. With the system Parker is playing, despite some saying it’s ‘crap’, Hartman is able to push high and wide, attacking the empty space that Anthony is leaving when he drifts inside. In particular he is attacking the box really well, and the goal yesterday is case in point for the above set up. A nice ...

This was a peak Dyche level defensive performance. Difference is we never had someone so brainless to give penalties away in the last seconds, and we’d grind the point. Unfortunately in this league you do need a point or two in games you don’t expect. And we’ve thrown away 2 in 2 weeks.
