Re: City v Wolves

I have always found most mature City fans to remember where they have come from regarding the darker times. A friend who has been a season ticket holder for decades is going to the FA Cup final with his 8 year old daughter. After ticket prices, transport and food etc he expects the day to cost him ...

If we don’t get our house in order, quickly, we could be in serious long term trouble. Fail to get promoted this season, flip the last of the players with any significant value and then what!? I may be called alarmist for saying it, but I think we are on a real knife edge here. We don’t have a Dych...

No. I know I should have got him back. Too nice. Get him back? After a job like that I imagine you'd never want him in your house again. Similar happened to me. Job in my bathroom. Left it in such a state he never bothered chasing for the balance I owed. Not surprised at all to see this coming out ...

Would have agreed about Watford had they not appointed Hodgson.

Lampard could be a terrible appointment at Everton and they could (but shouldn't) be bang in trouble.

Leeds aren't out of it.

Newcastle should have too much.

Brentford have to be the target.

Dood report, CT. Think the turning point for us to improve was the incredible save by Nick Pope from Cavani. We finished the first half with a little more tempo and continued it on into the second half. Well deserved point. It was a great save. Personally I felt the turning point was when McNeil ga...

Re: January 2022 Burnley Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion

Wood stopped scoring because his supply of scoring opportunities that suited him dried up when we started playing with inverted wingers. Having to hold off defenders so Cornet could do his thing also hampered him. A consistent double digit goal scorer didn't change, the way we decided to play this ...

Not only that, but by the time we do get a game, we'll be nowhere near match fit

Re: Australia v England - 2nd Ashes Test

I agree opener is the main issue. I'd also say though that Buttler looks absolutely shot. His body language while keeping yesterday was of a man so low on confidence, and that transferred to his batting as soon as he walked out. There was no fight from him and he wafted his bat several times until h...

Wood probably benefitting from an enforced rest as well, would explain why he's looking sharper, though I do agree this partnership has potential. Vydra needs to work on not snatching at shots on goal.

So we’re happy for half a dozen players to form a wall at a free kick, shoulder to shoulder. We’ve no problem with 15-20 players in the 18 yard box grappling at corners.
