Re: Burnley lad playing in the Champions League tonight
Classic insular Burnley thread this. Nice story about a lad from Burnley who has done really well for himself and forged a good career but all the ubbers can argue about is whether him and Jimmy, who had nothing to do with the story at all, supported us when they were kids.

Depends which way you look at it. It isn't wilder the saviour or nothing the decision to appoint his replacement led to the mess it's plausible that a better suited replacement things would have turned out different. Re: Parker post match interview v Cardiff
That starting XI had more than enough to win that game of football. The fact the performance simply wasn’t good enough is down to player performance on the night and, quite frankly, a lack of urgency or desire from too many. It was a good side on paper but just shows you can't throw 11 players toge...

It's unbelievable that there is no set procedure for this. It's not like it's something completely out of the ordinary. Playing the final 10 minutes seems like a non starter to me because it's not the same as finishing a game in the last 10. Both teams would be fresh and raring to go. So that's not ...

Classic example of poor cricket scheduling. Should be a great event playing a one day series against SA but it's shoe horned into late summer, immediately after the Hundred so no build up or anticipation at all. I had no idea it was on until I looked at the BBC Sport page about an hour ago.
