Sometimes divert up Rock Lane when the queue up Tod Road is particularly long/slow moving. Never had any issues. There can then be a queue down Glen View Road to the summit lights. If I'm dropping my dad off on Westbourne avenue South I'll go via Moorland Road which comes out at the Rose and Crown. ...

Showing open on the street guide Web site and Google maps.Last time I jogged down there last week it was open but down to one lane. It was a bit of a squeeze for cars. It's supposed to be access only for local residents on that road but I think a lot of drivers ignore it and use it as a short cut. P...

I turned up once at half time after a family do I couldn't get out of. I was led through the hospitality to be able to take my seat in the JHU. Was a couple of years ago. The normal turnstiles were closed and was directed to the hospitality entrance. Had to show my ticket of course.

So sorry to hear this. My first sporting hero when I was a kid and first started watching Burnley. I had my Grandma sew the number 11 on my first Burnley shirt in his honour. I guess it's a sign of getting older yourself when your heroes pass away. I will be raising a glass later this evening.

Taffy for me too. I would have been 9 in 1975. I had my grandma sew a number 11 onto my 1st Burnley shirt the year before. My first sporting hero. I was even more upset when he scored against us for Derby on the turf in our last season in the old 1st division.

I’ve always been a big fan of Def Leppard since first seeing them live at King George’s Hall in 1980. To this day their first album On Through The Night remains my favourite and most played rock album. Raw, undercooked music that I can really relate to. Steve Clark is a bit of a guitar hero for me....

I think after the match could be the bigger problem. The lights are a bottleneck at the best of times and can be queued back to Towneley gates post match. As someone has posted above, if these were manually controlled the traffic could be cleared much quicker.

Just a heads up for anyone travelling to the turf tonight. There are roadworks at the bottom of the new road at the junction with Todmorden Road causing quite long tailbacks. No idea how long they are there for but lm guessing they're linked to the ongoing ones through Cliviger.
