Sometimes divert up Rock Lane when the queue up Tod Road is particularly long/slow moving. Never had any issues. There can then be a queue down Glen View Road to the summit lights. If I'm dropping my dad off on Westbourne avenue South I'll go via Moorland Road which comes out at the Rose and Crown. ...

I turned up once at half time after a family do I couldn't get out of. I was led through the hospitality to be able to take my seat in the JHU. Was a couple of years ago. The normal turnstiles were closed and was directed to the hospitality entrance. Had to show my ticket of course.

So sorry to hear this. My first sporting hero when I was a kid and first started watching Burnley. I had my Grandma sew the number 11 on my first Burnley shirt in his honour. I guess it's a sign of getting older yourself when your heroes pass away. I will be raising a glass later this evening.

Just looked on Google maps. The A57 just beyond appears to be closed. No idea how long for or whether it will be open tomorrow. Can anybody shed any light on this?

I'm sure there must be some on here who work at the two industrial estates next to the Bentley wood roundabout. How much hassle are they causing? Does anyone have anymore info as to when they are going to at least be moved away and be only two way lights? I'm avoiding them by getting on and off at G...

Just a heads up. There are 3 way temporary traffic lights just of junction 9, the Bentley wood/ crematorium junction, which have been causing havoc this last week. Just something to keep your eye on. No Idea how long they are going to be there.

Sad news. Saw him with Whitesnake at Donington 1981 as special guests to AC/DC. Also a few years ago at Clitheroe grand doing an acoustic set supporting FM. I have the basic Garmin forerunner 110 which I think is now the 55. Does everything I need including distance, time, pace etc. Retails about £150.You can spend some daft money on them with all the whistles and bells but you will probably find you don't need/use them.

Recent convert to Hoka.Use the Bondi for roads but trails, or a combination of trail and road I run in the speedgoat. Seriously comfortable. A honorable mention to Asics Novablast if you find the Hokas a bit too cumbersome.

Taffy for me too. I would have been 9 in 1975. I had my grandma sew a number 11 onto my 1st Burnley shirt the year before. My first sporting hero. I was even more upset when he scored against us for Derby on the turf in our last season in the old 1st division.

I’ve always been a big fan of Def Leppard since first seeing them live at King George’s Hall in 1980. To this day their first album On Through The Night remains my favourite and most played rock album. Raw, undercooked music that I can really relate to. Steve Clark is a bit of a guitar hero for me....

I think after the match could be the bigger problem. The lights are a bottleneck at the best of times and can be queued back to Towneley gates post match. As someone has posted above, if these were manually controlled the traffic could be cleared much quicker.

edit, Just seen that it opened around midnight last night. I'm sure it must have made the a6 and the roads round the lakes a lot worse. Especially with the flooding added to the mix.

Roadworks Tod Road-New Road

Just a heads up for anyone travelling to the turf tonight. There are roadworks at the bottom of the new road at the junction with Todmorden Road causing quite long tailbacks. No idea how long they are there for but lm guessing they're linked to the ongoing ones through Cliviger.

I found l had to type my email in character by character rather than use the predictive function. I also then used a laptop with proper keys rather than a tablet or smartphone. It worked for me.

The tannoy is clearer in the toilets than anywhere. Even then it keeps cutting out. Went to a do at the centre spot a year or two back and the sound system is appalling in there as well.

Did think the TC was showing its age by the time the decision to close it was made. Needed a damn good clean at the very least. Not used St Peters much but the few times I've used it the pool was freezing! Better gym but not as many squash courts.
