Re: **** VAR
Re the penalty decision, for me the most telling comment came from the MoTD commentator, whose immediate reaction when Amad went down was “he’ll get nothing for that.” It just didn’t look like a penalty - that’s why the ref didn’t give it.

I don't really buy any of this VAR against us b**ocks, I think we just have sore losers here. Mount pen claim - the right call. We played some good stuff first half, but our forward players seem to be afraid to shoot. Anthony quilts on a few occasions passing when shooting looked the better option, Foster and Hannibal as well.

Do we know how many minutes he has actually played to score his 1 per 6 games? The stats I saw only show appearances, thus a time-wasting 92nd minute sub appearance looks as good/bad as a whole game. In the premier league it looks like he’s only averaged around 40mins per appearance, scoring 8 goal...

By Alan Nixon Burnley made a stunning £12.8 million profit on keeper by selling him back to Manchester City. The Clarets spent £15 million on the shot stopper when he signed from City two years ago and picked up £31 million on his return to City. City qualify for £3.2 million to be paid back as a 2...

You're right that only Xhaka, and Adringa out wide, have experience of the English premier league. I'd be disappointed if we end up with Pope. Really doesn't fit out style at all, and if we try to play the same way with him in the nets it's going to be a recipe for disaster. I really hope we don’t try to play the same way because it will be a disaster no matter who is in goal. Hopefully Parker w...

I imagine a fairly high proportion of “members” will live within fairly easy travel-distance to London - I.e. don’t want a season ticket but want to be able to get to a fair few away games, which makes the decision not to take a full allocation for this game all the more ludicrous.

It must be difficult for a team to hold it together when they have a keeper like Meslier behind them. The whole place from the pitch to the stands must collectively **** itself whenever the ball goes near him.
Truly astonishing that they haven’t replaced him by now.
