Re: UTC Fantasy Premier League is four days from kick off
Yeah - got it thanks. Amazing how many teams have “Claret” and “Europe” in their name!!

Re: Yannick Bolasie
I love Bolasie, he’s got that strength AND flair that we could really benefit from. I’m just so used to us missing out whenever another club are in a race with us (except in the Prem of course
)

Not done this before but looks like fun - I’ve just paid and it says “and we will get that league code sent out to you just as quickly as we can on receipt.” but I didn’t put my email address anywhere? I did put my board username so perhaps that’s how it works? Sorry for being dense, UTC.

Re: REPORT: Win number five takes us nine points clear
Not many lines in articles make me laugh out loud but this one:

[For those who don’t understand, penalties are free shots at goal from 12 yards that all other clubs are entitled to from time to time]

“No one wants to see this...”
In terms of commentary, the phrase “No one wants to see this...” kills me. It’s exactly what we want to see, it’s absolute comedy gold. The only thing that runs it close is “you couldn’t have written it” when a former player comes back and scores a winner against his old club. It’s exactly what you’...

Re: I'd Say "Stick Your curriculum Up Your A**e"
That statement would appear to back up my angst over my lads school book content of 8 or 9 pages out of 12 on Islam. Yippee! I'm vindicated :D ;) Love this thread. Teachers are given a specification to teach to ensure that students receive a broad and balanced insight into a subject area. As a depu...

Re: Everton move for Dyche
Now Sky do not sponsor the PL to the amount they do out of the goodness of their hearts, they do it for financial gain. Advertising revenue is one source but so is the sale of games internationally. It doesn't take a genius to see that, for example, Burnley v Watford is not the same draw globally a...

Re: Nahki Wells
The year was 1999. We lost 0-6 to Man City and got pasted by 5-0 at Gillingham in league 1. Arguing about whether our new £5m signing would cut the grade after a Premier league win at champions Chelsea and a draw at Wembley felt a long way off!

Re: Nahki Wells
And still managed 49 goals in 152 appearances. I agree. Stats are stats, but also that excitement of a player who adds flair when we need it. We have options like that now with Brady and Defour who can unlock defences, but there's times where someone who can get a little toe on something before a k...

Re: Nahki Wells
My old man is a Huddersfield fan, so I've seen just as much of them as I have us over the last few years, more often than not away from home. My thoughts on the transfer are that it offers us more balance. He's much more full of running and doing work in the channels than Vokes or Barnes (haven't se...

What a tool. I totally misread that when I first viewed it on the mobile site and I thought it was ST holders only - missed the bit about general sale. Cheers. I'll wait till Monday.

Ticket for Spurs Match... home end or wait?
I have been invited with a mate to go and sit in the home end but I'm still desperately hoping I can somehow get an away ticket. I only need one, but trying to ascertain whether I might be able to get one before the day, on the day, or whether I am just safer getting a ticket and sitting with the en...

So your views are correct but you regret expressing them? Interesting apology.
You may be surprised to hear that I've never expressed my views about you on this forum. But just so you know, with every post you make, I know I'm right.

My Dad's 19 year wait...
I took my dad to his first Burnley match for 19 years today. He watched them all the time in the 50s and 60s, but hasn't been able to go for ages for health reasons. When we left the game he climbed in the car, put on his seatbelt and said "I'll probably leave it twenty years this time." Hoping for ...

Re: Roll call for the Emirates Stadium...
I'm coming from Reading with a mate who I *thought* had never watched Burnley play but has, incredibly, never even watched a football match live!
He'll be a Claret at full time, make no mistake.
