It was Borland and Doug Hodgeson who were the two that immediately came to my mind.
Others were Colin Carr-Lawton and Ian Duerden

Re: Beyer and Ramsey
I have said it before and I will say it again. Beyer and Steve will Never be a back 2. They are too similar. You can't have 2 marauding CBs together. The only way they should play together is as part of a 3 with an old fashioned "proper defender" of a CB. Such as Ben Mee (could Tuanzebe be this play...

I still maintain that had that header gone in at Swansea it would have been a completely different story. He had everything you want from a big number 9 apart from hitting the net.

Gerrard wouldn’t even get in the top two English midfielders of his generation. IMO of course. I think it all comes down to what you want from a midfielder really. For me Gerrard had it all. Bottom box, won tackles, could pass a ball anywhere with accuracy, goal scorer from all over and a leader. O...

Not at all. Not discounting him. But the reality is Lampard, Scholes, De Bruyne were the main men in incredible teams. That elevates them for me. Think we'll have to agree to disagree on this one. Ruling Gerrard out on account of not winning an EPL title smacks of just being anti-scouse to me. He won the champions league for starters and some of those Liverpool squads around that time were dire. Without him they would have been where United and Spurs are at the moment IMO. Not sure a song mocking his phobia is gonna be all that helpful.

Not dropping, but I think we might lose at least one of CJ or Esteve unfortunately. If not, THB is also better than Worrall and probably has the best resale value of that list. The only others on the list who are under 30 are DOS (I think THB is better) and Cornet (made of glass). Trippier is a goo...
