Re: Cullen’s goal VAR check
Absolutely not, he blew when the ball hit the net, had it missed he wouldn’t have blown at all. He realised he’d cocked up and decided that VAR was his get out of jail card. He let the chance play out in case there was a goal and then blew for the foul, like they’re meant to. Can argue whether it w...

Peter crouch gives some decent insight to this in his podcast…. I think it’s either the relegation episode or the contract episode. It’s not as black and white as some are saying on here. Isn’t it something like 10 years since the early bird prices were last increased? At 2% inflation a year for 10 years you’d be looking at a 22% cumulative increase in price over that period. Nobody is going to turn on a young player when we’re 4-0 down. Who honestly cared about anything that happened in the last half an hour of that game yesterday. If it’s 1-1 and he makes a mistake then obviously the crowd would react, but that’s just not going to happen at 4-0.

What is the point in bringing on Barnes at 4-0 down with 15 minutes left. The game was gone and we learnt nothing new by playing him. There’s surely no harm in bringing Richardson on to give him some experience, we might need him next season with the number of forwards we’ve got out of contract.
