Re: What is your "bogey" ground?
For a long time Nottingham was a bogey place, never saw a win in the city at either Forest or County until the win when Jay Rod missed a pen. That was a weird night. I was thinking of it the other day for some reason. Good clarets following as it was £10 special offer I recall. Forest were abysmal ...

He would be an asset at any club and would be good for Burnley’s continuity / culture / business model to attract back such model professionals who understand the club and who bring in experience from elsewhere. As long as they don’t want 20 grand a week to do it of course.

I live in Leeds. Pleased they are expanding but the announcement is short on details / designs / timescales. The one and only time my wife has been to Turf Moor we sat in there, soaked and freezing, 0-0 v Derby County in about 2003/4. A completely featureless game devoid of atmosphere. She has not campaigned to go again.

I was on the away end at Blackburn v Man City that day (4-0 to Rovers as a blip on City’s promotion charge). Genuinely interesting thread. Surely the future is more artificial turf given changing climate. At junior football level in Leeds it’s shocking, mudbaths like the 1970s.

Can't quite visualise it, but you're probably right about Hibernian's Easter Road as you approach Edinburgh Waverley from the east (on the East coast Mainline) to the north. I think, therefore, you can also see the Meadowbank Stadium (used for the 1970 and 1986 Commonwealth Games) and now home to E...

I live in Leeds. They’re in danger of losing a generation of supporters due to not expanding the ground. Relegation will not help. They’re stuck in the 20th century. Within the city, Rhinos seem to be as well-supported as LUFC and do a lot more for the community. LUFC have big regional draw obviously.
