Have watched a lot of rugby league starting off with Rochdale Hornets as a kid. Rugby Union up here first with Gosforth then Newcastle Falcons. Last night’s Leeds v St Helens had an exciting finish but several questionable refereeing decisions. Jake Connor a nasty piece of work!

Yes Bairstow a major disappointment.
All credit to Chilton who dumped Benkenstein who was a poor appointment, they did much better under Croft but both Lancs and Yorks did not perform although international calls took away their best players.

It’s amazing the movement of players in and out of the club over the past 4 years, I don’t imagine that we have ever seen such volumes traded at other times in the club’s history.

A pity that WIndies always fall short, was at Riverside on Friday where it was a similar story. England bat well down the order but the bowling is average and we are being flattered by the opposition.
