It’s amazing the movement of players in and out of the club over the past 4 years, I don’t imagine that we have ever seen such volumes traded at other times in the club’s history.

Finally knighted at the palace today, some 40 years too late. Discriminated against in Cardiff so moved to Wigan and rugby league. Prolific try scorer, unstoppable on his day, I saw a linesman break his leg avoiding Billy at Rochdale Hornets. A supreme gentleman arise Sir Billy.

A pity that WIndies always fall short, was at Riverside on Friday where it was a similar story. England bat well down the order but the bowling is average and we are being flattered by the opposition.

Pulled a stump out of the ground and smacked Ces Abrahams over the head with it during a Central Lancs League game and he branded his wife with a hot iron. Todmorden born Peter Lever died earlier today, an excellent fast bowler in the 60s/70s for Lancashire and England, deserved more caps. Retired to Rochdale area I believe.
