Me too. If anything, I am a bit surprised there weren’t a few loans lined up to go straight to Espanyol. Who would you loan though? Basically interests are aligned because Alan and his shareholders will want to benefit financially which will only happen if both Espanyol and Burnley (and by the sounds of it, other clubs to follow) mutually benefit from the new structure/arrangements. I think he's really struggled with not featuring consistently and not in his favoured position. He looked a PL player at the beginning of the last PL campaign and everyone agreed in that run of games he was brilliant. I don't think you just lose it, he needs games and consistency to get back to that...

I actually thought JBL was a good player he looked PL quality to me.

The only concern is we are piling up good options out wide again, we need to spread some quality around. I wonder if Edwards could play in the 10?

I have to say this seems pretty poor from the club if true.

Whilst I won't be affected I wouldn't be pleased if I was being moved from my normal (and purchased) seat to somewhere else without being informed of the decision prior to making my purchase.

Sargent is a good all round footballer but I worry that in the PL you need to be either an exceptional all-rounder or you need to be very good in a specific area to make a big impact.

If he did sign I'd support him and want to be proved wrong but he's one I'd prefer we passed on.

I'm honestly amazed by this one. Walker was a world class player in his position at one point. Past his best he may be but his best was levels above where we are. This * prospective signing actually gave me the kind of buzz I rarely get from football these days. Edit- don't want to count my chickens...

We've done good buisness so far but losing 2 of the key players from last season will be a blow. I think we'll get an adequate keeper but we're at risk of seeing another complete squad makeover which isn't really what I wanted. Really pleased with this one. Losing CJ was a blow but this strengthens us in a key area.

The problem is the Transfer fee very rarely reflects the ability of the player in my opinion.

Players within their peak are cheaper than young wonderkids because of the potential. I think there's still good players to be had in the 10-20m price bracket providing you do sensible buisness.

Nobody is saying we weren't a well run club when we got into Europe are they? Were we well run after that?
