Re: Transfer window out of 10
Would have liked to see Benson leave permanently rather than loan to bring in a bit of money, likewise Delcroix who I suspect will go on loan in the next few days. As a whole I think we’ve done pretty well in the window , would maybe have liked another attacker and possibly centre half dependant on ...

There could well be a few players being paid up after tonight in order to get them out of their clubs.
Maybe not us signing tbem afterwards but don’t be surprised to see a few players released once all windows are closed

He’s only 22 and this is his first real crack at the big league. I thought he was superb against Southampton last season in the cup , where he played deeper alongside Shelvey.
He’s certainly not a number 10, his pressing is brilliant as we know but I think he needs to develop in a deeper role. There is certainly a player there .

What amazes me is that people don’t see Lesley a Luis or another midfielder being able to play together AND alongside Cullen in a 3 .
We have for the majority of our time in the Premeir league struggled in the midfield .

Yes. We literally have an example of a VAR decision in our favour in the first half The Walker and Anthony ones aren’t too dissimilar one was given one wasn’t . The rules are to be interpreted in a way that incorporates common sense though no?
Rules or not, can anybody seriously tell me that the same decision would have been given down the opposite end of the field?

It’s clear and obvious that the pull on the shirt starts outside the box and that it doesn’t make you fall over a few paces later. I absolutely hate VAR, it’s sucking the life out of the game. I’m almost certain that if that was at the other end it wouldn’t have even been checked

On Edwards - he’s been inside quite often with no overlap from Sonne, convesting the middle up and not receiving the ball. When he has got the ball he’s offered nothing. Nice pass in the build up to the goal but very sloppy and looks uninterested

When teams are chasing a lead late on there are more often than not a lot more balls thrown in the box etc. so choosing between the unit Tchaouna or Edwards is again quite easy in that scenario.
Edwards will play his part 100%.
