Results as you know are a matter of record, not in game opinion which is the context you chose to ignore.
So it’s not the case that “football is a matter of opinion, not fact”
Good of you to correct your false statement.

Football is a matter of opinion, not fact….
in that case, it’s my opinion that we’ve won every game so far and are 10 pints clear at the top of the league.
Sadly, the facts don’t agree.

I am sorry if I have pulled this thread off line as it were but out and out number 9s one comes to mind which most will hate me for is Alan Shearer ,
have to say best penalty taker I have seen as he when for the top corner close to every one .
You must never have seen Grezza, then.

Does anyone have any stats on captains by playing position? I would imagine centre halves and central midfielders are probably the most common.

I wonder what their odds are on promotion now, even if it's via the playoffs. Do bookies give odds for that or is it automatic promotion only?

And all this time I’ve been calling him Tcha..oo..na. I stand corrected. It’s essentially the same thing. The vowel sound in “chow” is a diphthong, where two vowel sounds (in this case “a” and “oo”) are elided into one another, so the only difference between “chow-na” and “cha-oo-na” is how quickly...
