I think football highlights shows have always done this. I seem to remember hearing the famous “would you believe it” commentary (Martin Tyler on Tony Adams) was re-recorded after the event, and MotD does it all the time.

Also, in fairness to Sky, Trafford’s save deserved a replay or six!
