Re: Steve Cotterill
Many people dont appreciate how little money he had when he arrived. Remember once just 4 on the bench and several were youngsters who had not played first team football. I think he asked for a masseur at one point instead of an extra player, just to help keep the first 11 fit.He used an oxygen cha...

He's pretty much the only one in our squad around the box who could find a pass in a tight area to set up a goal. Cullen can do it, but from deeper. His assist record is phenomenal, not in the Premier league granted but at the top level in the Netherlands and Belgium. And he's shown it here in the 8...

Not lost all hope on Broja. Clearly a player in there but he's physically just nowhere near. And mentally too doesnt look hungry or sharp. Pointless being in the prem squad atm.
Sonne is a Championship player, simple as that.

There's not one attacking player I'd have on the bench before Tresor. Unless his illness means he can't play, getting 10 minutes in the carabao Cup is almost insulting. I wish a journalist would ask a direct question

Villa have had a tough start, but Emery is a class act and they have a very good side that was brilliant last season. It’s impossible to know where our points are going to come from in this league, every game is hard. Even if we were playing Wolves away next week I wouldn't be ticking that off as 3 ...

So from someone that was not a Parker fan initially and had massive trepidations about his set up in the Prem, I have got to say we look reasonably comfortable and also showing some great football at times. Yes. VAR is just awful. There's just less variety in characters and styles of players. They're all supreme athletes, I miss players like Matt Le Tissier who couldn't run 100m in 11 seconds but was magic with a football. Chris Waddle, even players like Dennis Bergkamp are a dying breed. I'm not diminishing our performance today at all, every one of them were beasts defensively and we had the perfect gameplan to attack on the counter when we could. Oxalade-Chamberlain is done at the top level I think. Eriksen I can see some merit in on a 1 year deal, but given Parkers preference for safety first and a strong physical presence, I'm not sure how much he'd play. I'd still on balance prefer Tresor just to stay rather than sign Eriksen.

By all accounts, Parker has been very pleased with Tresor's attitude and application. Given he was happy to say certain players didn't want to be here, I doubt he'd go to the trouble of publicly praising him if it wasn't true.

Is Ramsay the latest player to have got better and better the less he plays? There’s a talented player in there and he needs game time, but realistically is that with us? If we sign Luis, I think he's probably dropped for a more attacking minded 10. For me we need to get back to a 4231/4411, and he unfortunately falls between two stools. Checked the rules and it is a penalty. If you start tugging a shirt outside the area and it continues in the area, it's a "continuous foul" and a penalty. To get so close and do something so stupid with VAR watching, at Old Trafford, is mind boggling.
