I don't know whether it's an issue of trust or playing style, but for whatever reason Parker didn't like Hannibal in that spot next to Cullen. I agree with others he'd be good in there, but it's hard to see Parker going with it given he was reluctant in the championship.

The signing of laurent for 500k was a masterstroke in the Championship. But the thought of him starting with Cullen (who is very stretched as a prem midfielder himself) in centre midfield is a tad terrifying.

I suspect JBL is to replace Brownhill, playing him through the middle rather than out wide I suspect this is the case. I'm not completely sold on it but he and ramsay could be competing for this spot if Parker is dead against using Flemming or Amdouni behind a striker. You could also see him/Edward...

I love this, "We've never seen Tchaouma play" or "no idea how good he is".
Well I'd hope having spent 14 million euros on him, the club both have seen him play and have a fair idea of how good he is.

Is Beyer becoming the latest player to get better the longer he goes without playing? No, I think the player ratings from our promotion season will back up whats being said. He looked way too good for the level. He struggled in most of the 15 games he played in the prem, along with everyone else. B...

Joelington is an absolute beast of an athlete as well as having brilliant positioning, good awareness, and a tidy first touch. Me too. He lacks that natural striker's instinct, I don't think he'll ever be prolific. But I do think he can be an effective forward who can cause the opposition a lot of headaches. We have so many wingers, I doubt he'll be played wide again. So it's up top or bench I imagine. If he's up top we nee...

Flemming WAS our striker wasn't he ? I mean we really didn't have anyone else who could take that role on so Flemming had to play as our no. 9. I thought he might leave, but only because he could still get regular first team football in the championship. Speaks volumes about his character and committment that he wants to stay, knowing his role will mainly be off the pitch not on it.

If we're even playing with a number ten type of player, then we've been told since he signed that that is Flemming's best position, although again, it would be strange and a huge gamble to start playing him there now. For us? No he hasn't, for Bournemouth he did. Graham Alexander hadn't played defensive midfield for us before he did! If Brownhill leaves, I think he'd be an excellent candidate for the 10 role/AMC. He works his nuts off getting back in shape and winning the ball back He's very good at finding space in the box, and a decent finisher He can interchange with Edwards who likes getting in more central pockets.
