Re: Not too despondent.

It was the cherry on top.

For this season, this Burnley team will be remembered far beyond the title win.

33, unbeaten at home, never conceding more than 1 ect… ect..

It really wasn’t, and it’s not truly frightening.
If we don’t get promoted our team next season will be closer to yesterday’s than the current 1st 11.

Frightening?? Debatable I suppose.

Worrying?? A certainty, if you actually want to return to the Premiership.

From Live TV. Trafford - 7 - Not much goalkeeping to do but that and his passing were as we expect. Roberts - 7 - Defensively fine and good movement all over the pitch as we have come to expect but little use was made of it. Egan-Riley - 8 - MoM - Good all round defending against a ‘robust’ PNE for...

Burnley was the smallest town out of the 92 before Accrington joined the party. There may be other clubs since that are smaller than Burnley doubt there’s anyone smaller than Accrington. As for top flight, at some point in time maybe but not on current standings. As for champions of England, no one.

If we fail to win it will prove we are simply not good enough to achieve an automatic place.

If we do win, it will prove we have it in us to get past the remaining teams that will no doubt play in a similar way.

More than the 3 points per se, its what the 3 points represents.
