Re: What's happened to you need 40 points to survive ??
The task facing us next season is huge but this time I think given our defensive capabilities and workrate we have a better chance of staying up. To me the big difference now from before is the 9 on the bench 5 subs rules that has allowed those mid-bottom teams to build deeper squads with better qua...

If the club are listening it would great for the ex player and the fans if a minute or so highlights of the player’s time at Burnley was shown on the big screen. That could be them personally or a big match they were involved in. This could be done before the interview.

Like the way the full backs got forward tonight and put in crosses.
Our performance tonight was a massive improvement and sets the tone going forward and the goals will come.

Before we played Sheff Weds and Hull I said I would be happy with 4 points and that is what we have. Obviously gutted we didn’t nick it at the end but until Flemming scored I would settle for a point. We didn’t play our best but have not lost. Hopefully on Saturday we will up the tempo and get an ea...

Getting men behind the ball and hoping to catch a team on the break seems to be the blueprint these days, Sheff U are good enough to have a go at Leeds but instead rely on pragmatism and getting men behind the ball and hoping to catch Leeds on the break.

A mate of mine at the time was a Wanderers fan so used to go a few matches with him as he also came to a few Burnley matches. I think we need to cut our losses on Tresor and get shut, it’s ok saying shove him in the reserves but he could quickly become our Winston Bogarde. Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
When we last came down we had an aging squad, Kompany rebuilt it and we achieved promotion. The issue then was that players such as Maatsen, THB and Tella who were integral to that success and were only here on loan. When we got up Maatsen didn’t want to sign and that is the issue with loan players....

Cracking thread as it’s about those most divisive players and not a criticism. Thinks Chris Eagles, Rocket Ron and Trafford should be in the squad at least.

My love for football diminishes each year, I started watching us in the 80’s and have seen the lows and steady upward climb to where we are now. When there is more demand than supply as in this case there will be people that miss out. I have thought about this and the club could introduce a split allocation system.
