Average wise - Cook Strauss averaged 40.40 as an opening batting pair. Duckett Crawley average 43.62 (51 innings). Dom Sibley is another one who had a chance at test level and looked out of his depth.

A batting average doesn't take into consideration what may be an anomaly, therefore its not a good representation of consistency.
