Re: Djed Spence
Just imagine how good our first choice right back is!
Allegedly Spence doesn't have a great attitude and fell out with Warnock hence the loan move. He was frustratingly inconsistent last season, flashes of brilliance at times though, looks to have come on leaps and bounds at Forrest.

Re: How many Burnley shirts do you have?
   How is he playing? Worth the £300m that you paid for him? Monk hasn't started him in 2 of our games, the two games we have been woeful, I don't think that's a coincidence. He won't score many this year but he is providing the link between the midfield and the striker in front of h...

Haha thanks Ralph, in all fairness one is Jelle Vossens and the other two are match worn from Bamford! Didn't see any tear stains haha!!RalphCoatesComb wrote:You're my hero then.

Haha, thanks for that Sid although personally I'd play Gibson for Ayala if we keep him!

Re: Ashley Fletcher - £7 million transfer to Boro
I don't get it! Seems a high price. Boro struggled for goals last year so we seem to be trying to remedy that by just buying as many strikers as possible. Does anyone know if Garry Monk prefers a 2-3-5 formation?!?

Re: Britt Assombalonga
I've seen a few reports dismissing the £60k figures; 'It has been reported that Assombalonga was going to be paid £60,000 a week, but it is understood the actual figure is lower and falls within Boro’s current wage framework.' I'm not sure what 'Boro's wage framework' is and if this is much higher t...

Looks to me like it's going to be Burnley, even our load rag is reporting it, mind you they've got an awful track record! http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/15412398.Burnley_nudge_ahead_of_Middlesbrough_in_race_for_Britt_Assombalonga/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Odds are still...

Re: Britt Assombalonga
Without being derogatory to Boro and Watford I don't think either of those clubs can say the same... certainly not to the same extent. Troy Deeney is a Watford success story but who else is there? You could argue Cathcart is a better player since joining from Blackpool but he's hardly a world beate...

Re: Britt Assombalonga
Regarding the wages, out of curiosity, how do you guys feel about Burnley's wage structure model? I read in Soccernomics that the correlation between transfer fees spent does not have a strong correlation to finishing position but average wages is a much stronger indicator of how well a team will do...

Re: Britt Assombalonga
Boro fan perspective here! I'd be surprised if he is coming to us as it looks like we are about to wrap up Braithwaite for £9 Million. That would leave our attacking options as Braithwaite, Bamford (This is his level!) and Gestede (Plan B substitute?). the £60,000 wages seem unrealistic for the Cham...

Bit like Scotland then with GS :) At least he is consistent lol not going to be easy but good luck now you have got rid of AK, did not like him one little bit, sorry! I can't fault the guy for achieving what 3 other managers couldn't but the guy needs to work on his man management skills! He wasnt ...

Boro fan here! I for one am gutted we are going down and am not looking forward to the prospect of Championship football. Fingers crossed we can 'do a Burnley' I suppose it all depends on the manager we get in. Its a gamble though, we spent 7 long years in the Championship, I remember the dwindling ...

Re: Our best year ever?
Genuine question - would you prefer Blackburn to be relegated and fade into obscurity or would you grant them one good season so that you could play them twice a year?

Re: Boro's Ramirez hands in transfer request.
Exactly! She could have even sold the story after the fact but there you go! Again this might not be the reason for the move but its a strange one coming from a guy who was supposedly desperate to stay here after his loan last season. I also agree with what Colburn_Claret says about 'favourites and ...

Re: Boro's Ramirez hands in transfer request.
Boro fan here! The rumour is that it's his missus forcing through the move following his antics on instagram... https://twitter.com/FootyAccums/status/814136855633469440/photo/1?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw Ramirez is our best attacking player so this is a bit worrying being the leagues lowest scorers and be...
