Everyone was saying Laurent was brilliant against Liverpool. Everyone agreed he did very well against Forest. And after one poor game (where he didn't do much wrong) he's suddenly not good enough. No need to pick him out, there were several players who did worse than him today. Let's not cherry pic...

My West Ham-supporting friend said before the game their win at Forest was a poisoned chalice because it gave Sullivan the chance of not signing any new players. They quibbled over a low fee for England U21 centre-back Charlie Cresswell and the deal fell through. Potter's on a new contract but can't...

Wish there were a way for both Liverpool and Everton to lose.
I hope I'm wrong but I can't see Everton struggling this season otherwise I would have to go for a home win.

Diago , saw him playing for Argentina twice . For me you need to close this thread he was the greatest player I have ever seen . Hi Tribesman, I didn't mention Maradona because he wasn't a central striker. Like Cruyff, Messi and Pele, he tended to drift around and also play deep. That he was one of...

The greatest non-Burnley central strikers you've seen play
Either in the flesh or on TV. I'm excluding players like Cristiano Ronaldo from this category because he was a winger by trade and plays all across the front line. Likewise, I'm not sure how to classify Pele and Cruyff. They tended to move around and play where they felt they could be most effective...

SP has got set up to give it a good go. And keep our pride. The fans will take defeat more easily if we've done our best. UTC
