Re: Motorpoint
Bought 2 this year and drove both away same day. True, you can't negotiate on price, but you can on trade in if they're desperate for month end targets. Got £450 extra trade in with one hour to go to close for month end. Be brave or walk away. No complaints about dealing with them. Kept it friendly ...

Thanks for the advice. No, I don't have a new domain name. I'll try the 7726 method. Many thanks for all contributions. Happy to receive more ideas if you have any.

I'm receiving 6 or more messages every day starting "Hi, I hope you're in good health, and thanks for using Repair System Android".does anyone know if this is genuine? I'm worried it may be a scam, because I can't believe anyone would be so persistent. It invites me to complete a survey. How can I s...

PPI?
Sick of all the ads regarding PPI claims, BUT, I just wonder..... I've banked with Lloyds for donkeys' years, and gone through the usual routine when you're young and struggling to raise a family etc. so credit cards, loans etc used to be a part of life. Thankfully, I'm through that. So, I wonder if...

Yep. Seen it several times in the last few months, west of Burnley (I think). Makes a noise like an angry hornet. I thought I may be practising for displays. Very impressive.

Re: What's the ideal age for a first game?
I had the pleasure and privilege of taking my grandson to his first match last season, against Rotherham, just weeks before his 7th birthday, along with his dad. It was a very special occasion as he lives over 200 miles away and was visiting for the weekend. His dad is a life long Claret, but his ot...

Re: Last Tram to Turf Moor
look closely at the backs of the benches: they're old school desktops. the groove running near the top is a pen rest and there are five holes in each, which would have held the inkwells. A piece of local history.

Re: Last Tram to Turf Moor
Thanks Tony.
That brought back memories. My dad used to work that turnstile on matchdays and he would send me round the ground selling penny scorecards.

Re: Matthews playing at the Turf
Then I stand corrected as to the game against Elder. Fair enough. I did hint that my memory may not infallible! I was certainly at the game around 1951 though.

Re: Matthews playing at the Turf
I've finally registered especially to contribute my experience on this topic. Please be kind! I saw Stanley Matthews play for Blackpool on Turf Moor around 1951. I was about 5yrs old and my dad took me specially to see him. I also got my first football boots from the Co-op on Hammerton St, signed by...
