Re: Expectations Tomorrow

For some reason I’ve got a 5-0 loss imprinted on my brain, so anything better than that is going to be a bonus for me. However, I am looking forward to another attack versus defense again with what has gone on so far after Spurs. I’m not expecting us to score, so I’m hopeful of a 0-0.

Re: The SUPER CLARETS vs Cardiff City - MATCH THREAD (Carabao Cup)

Shocking performance all round really, couple of decent cameos, well maybe one! I now know why Broja is not starting in the premier league, no urgency, and certainly not a team performance. Cardiff so much better and deserved it, they could actually pass to each other, which really helps. They were ...

B’burn match abandoned with 11 minutes left to play, they were one up playing 10 men, they’re not at all happy 🙄

Was it that bad at the Turf, or is our pitch that much better??

Let’s see if we go 4/4/2 next game, that will give us a little more insight into SP’s tactics going forward. NF have some very good players and dangerous from the new manager bounce today.

At least we don’t have long to go, gives SP time to make a couple of changes, crowd have been great all the way through, they’ll go mad if we can keep it like this. But whatever, it’s been how I like it, solid defense, giving everything

Well at least we get to see the new man, hopefully Luis is fully up to speed, they’ve certainly upped their game, but holding well so far! Re: Summer 2025 BFC Transfer Window - Links and discussion on the Linked player only.

We are apparently after a centre back as well. So could be possible that Parker wants to revert to his 433 system from last season with 2 in front of Cullen I’m seeing two systems basically being played this season depending on opposition, back 5 for the majority and going for counter attacking foo...

I think SP will play mostly 5 at the back, especially against the better sides that want possession and attacking intent, and we’ll be more defensive looking to break. But, against side lower down and that are set up for low possession and counter attacking intent, it be a more traditional back 4. W...

Re: THE SUPER CLARETS vs The Black Cats ~ Match Thread

4 at the back for me, more attacking intent, will see these changes throughout, depending on who we are playing and SP thoughts on attack or defense as the tactic of the day. Obviously more attacking today, which Sunderland will like as they will be a counterattacking team for most of the season, as...

think he will go with a back 4 today, will look to attack more, which is probably what Sunderland wants, they want to counterattack and are fast enough, Ekdal will be in trouble unless he stays way back in this one. Leeds United scored 26 more goals than Burnley during the last Championship season and are more likely to be on the front foot and showing attacking intent than Scott Parker’s Burnley. On that basis alone I would expect DCL to be presented with, and convert, more scoring opportunities than Broja. P...

I'm hoping Beyer is fit and starts early with trainer and getting back to a first team choice, along with what we have, who hopefully stay, but if not we need to get good fees and buy wisely, obviously that's for any position, but I think these two positions are going to be critical for us.
