Re: From the Bee Hole End podcast…
The real irony of your posting on the United game and how the back 5 is so bad & bizarre, is that game we started with a back 4, and as you say got torn apart… it was only after switching to a deeper 5-4-1 out of possession after around 35 min that we looked more solid and grew into the game, parti...

Re: From the Bee Hole End podcast…
Saying we’ve been torn apart in every away game this season is inaccurate. The solid foundations last season have not been thrown away … we were the Man City in terms of resource's and squad quality …. Now we are the total opposite In this league We have been competitive in every game but like last...

Re: From the Bee Hole End podcast…
Completely misunderstood Our season will rest on results against teams outside the top 6 or 7 We've played 2 of those teams, Sunderland and Forest...6pts available...we got 4......hence 4 from 6!! Continue that form against similar teams we're fine Spurs and Man United were 17th and 15th last seaso...

Re: From the Bee Hole End podcast…
I can see that thought process but which sides have we played? The two games against clubs ******* in the same pond as us has seen us take four points, only concede one goal and score three ourselves. Just because Sunderland have had such a good start is out of our hands, we can only control the ga...

I think Parker is trying to do what he did last season-- Make a foundation that he can build off/evolve as we get to grips with the challenge. We've had 4 horrible fixtures in our first 6 games, it's no surprise to me that we've lined up defensively to try and stay in games, I don't really have an ...

There was me thinking he is playing an entirely new position, the manager has asked and doung a decent job of it. Is that not an issue though? So competitive that we won two home games all season and went down with a whimper while Kompany left us with an unacceptable, unbalanced squad and looking after himself. The vision was to get Kompany to a big club. I think we all saw the vision but, unlike you, we didn’t all misunderstand it. As Dy...

We’re currently leaking goals at an alarming rate away from home. 11 in 3 games.
I think we need to get back to basics and return to the solid foundations of last seasons system. This back 5 stuff is crap.

Easy to say we aren't as good as the Kompany side when you ignore the win and draw along with failing to mention 2 of the goals being last minute penalties from daft handballs. Also I don’t buy this better than Kompany stuff,
We lost 3-1 at Etihad under VK. 5-1 Parker.
Drew 1-1 at Old Trafford under VK, lost 3-2 Parker.
Lost at Spurs 2-1 under VK, lost 3-0 Parker.
Certain fans desperate to have a dig at Kompany.

Iv got to be honest, I don’t know what Parker is trying to do. We saw Hannibal right wing at Old Trafford. Brun Larsen at wing back. Walker centre half. Now we’ve got Laurent playing god knows where. Might have been better playing our first team in the cup and making 11 changes for City. 10000% agree, I know we probably wouldn’t have drawn Wrexham like Cardiff have but if we did, what an opportunity to get into a quarter final. We threw it all away to likely get our arse spanked away at City. B...

Bizarre how after his last cup winning performance he’s deemed not good enough to start for the second string. Well we’ve just rested our entire starting side ahead of a trip to Man City and forfeited our spot in the cup to do so.
Let’s see if it was worth it, I suspect we’ll get beat at City regardless of the team we put out.

3 at the back can be very attacking - didn't make Brazil look defensive back in 2002, did it? Then you get onto the system, 5 defenders against League One dross at home. The team sat deep, parking the bus, pressing 1 at a time. Passing sideways and backwards. There’s absolutely no reason for Edwards, Broja and Flemming to ALL be behind the ball in their own half. No idea why we need Edwards ...

Re: JJ isn't having it
This is irrelevant because hands and arms (below the 't-shirt line) of players aren't considered when determining offside. I thought this was common knowledge? Right, we’ve determined the defenders shirt is ahead of the line, so how is it offside when Lyles shirt, hand and arm is ahead of the line?

I’d be amazed if it was anywhere near that with sell on clauses, agents fees etc. Overall the point still stands that a club like Burnley cannot afford to make too many £15m (or thereabouts) mistakes. I think the idea of the thread is pretty clear, it's regarding how people currently feel about the players we have brought in - not to judge it in 2 months time. I like Hannibal but he’s not a 10, he was playing right wing today. The best thing about Hannibal is his work rate but today he wasn’t tracking back at all, just standing out wide.
