It was an Excalibur modelled on a 1920s Mercedes SSK sportster. It was based on a Studebaker chassis with a whopping V8 engine. A bit of a handful by all accounts.

I haven't been for years, but the Pack Horse pub used to have a collection of fascinating photos of the reserviors under construction, together with shots of the old railway. No idea if they are still there though.

There was a bloke locally who took a "Z car" to shows. He stored it in a lock up near Colne. Not sure if it was a gen version or something spoofed up to look like a Z-cars Zephyr. From memory it was a dark green colourand had a ruddy great blue light on top.
