Re: Latvia v England

Governing bodies have ruined the qualifiers. Maybe it's because England are a lot better now, but there is no jeopardy at all anymore, it's like a training session most times.

That’s total bulls*it  I’m to some extent a baseball fan and HIGHLY doubt you watched a game for a FULL HOUR and no one hit the ball
Trust me, it wasn't

What made it worse is as soon as we got in the taxi afterwards, it was on the radio and someone hit a home run.

Unfortunately none of our attacking options are good enough. I was hoping Tresor and Edwards would kick on this season, but Parker doesn't seem to fancy them. We have to get Lesley, Cullen and Luis in the team and get them used to the system.

These graphics are amazing. My first game as a 9 year old was Scunthorpe at home in 1986 where we lost 2-1. I supported Everton at the time as everyone in my school supported Liverpool. Didn't go on (or bother watching) as after the PNE display last season, it's quite clear Parker doesn't give a toss about the cups. Tresor has to start games like this. Otherwise what is the point? We clearly need options off the bench in the prem, and even if we can get 45 mins out of him, it's a start. Parker clearly see's something otherwise he wouldn't be in the 25.

Surely having an arm in an offside position doesn't matter because you aren't allowed to use your arm, it's called 'handball'. Yeah but say if you "beat" the offside trap just after the halfway line and sped off towards goal and scored, aren't you using both arms to maintain your speed to keep you ...

Teams we could potentially finish above:
Leeds, Sunderland, Brentford, Wolves, West Ham, Forest (not sure about Ange)

Teams who are weaker than last season:
Villa, Newcastle

I think the potential to pickup points is greater than last season, as a few of the bigger clubs are not as good.

VAR just sanitises everything. 20 years ago you would get games with a few naughty or strong challenges which would have then resulted in a few potential fracas' later on in the game. It also made the game ebb and flow more if you could break up play. Now even a good challenge where you win the ball...
