Re: Football Heritage - the Orient Game
These graphics are amazing. My first game as a 9 year old was Scunthorpe at home in 1986 where we lost 2-1. I supported Everton at the time as everyone in my school supported Liverpool. The next season I only went on a few games, I remember losing a midweek game 3-1 at home to Cardiff the following ...

Hate watching us play city, it's like a trip to the dentist, so watched the Ryder cup instead. Checked the score at half time and was pleasantly surprised. Got a score notification at full time and normal service was resumed.

Re: Burnley v Cardiff - Player Ratings
Didn't go on (or bother watching) as after the PNE display last season, it's quite clear Parker doesn't give a toss about the cups. Looking at the ratings it's quite concerning that Broja and Tuanzebe seem no way near, Edwards seemingly can't be arsed and Tresor STILL is a mystery. With Tresor, if i...

I hope we tip The Samaritans the wink before we do finally part with Tresor, whenever that may be. His departure will rip so large a hole in the psyches of such a worrying number of Burnley fans they may never fully recover. Don't find the Tresor situation even mildly amusing tbh. At this point we'...

Don't know why there is such a fuss about this. If a match is abandoned due to bad weather, it has always been a full replay. People are acting as though this is some kind of unique occurrence.

It's such a shame he's been warming the bench the last 5 years, he's far too good a keeper to have played zero times during that period.

Tresor has to start games like this. Otherwise what is the point? We clearly need options off the bench in the prem, and even if we can get 45 mins out of him, it's a start. Parker clearly see's something otherwise he wouldn't be in the 25.

Dubravka
Tuanzebe Ekdal Esteve
Walker Hartman
Florentino Cullen

Surely having an arm in an offside position doesn't matter because you aren't allowed to use your arm, it's called 'handball'. Yeah but say if you "beat" the offside trap just after the halfway line and sped off towards goal and scored, aren't you using both arms to maintain your speed to keep you ...

Teams we could potentially finish above:
Leeds, Sunderland, Brentford, Wolves, West Ham, Forest (not sure about Ange)
Teams who are weaker than last season:
Villa, Newcastle
I think the potential to pickup points is greater than last season, as a few of the bigger clubs are not as good.

This whole arms thing is ******** anyway. Try running in on goal with one arm tied behind your back. Surely you use your arms for momentum forward? Also defenders can use their arms to drag players back, so don't now why the line isn't drawn from any part of the defender. Would make it a lot easier ...

There's also a side question as to whether football 'peaked' as an entertainment medium between 2000-2020?
No VAR, pitches superb, world class players everywhere, tackling not considered a no go area, Messi and Ronaldo at their peak etc

VAR just sanitises everything. 20 years ago you would get games with a few naughty or strong challenges which would have then resulted in a few potential fracas' later on in the game. It also made the game ebb and flow more if you could break up play. Now even a good challenge where you win the ball...
