Re: Colonoscopy - advice

Because of my age and family history, I've had 6 of these and never have had the anesthetic. I've had these at three different locations, and it's been much the same each time. I like it that you can view the monitor, and even though you see them snip off a polyup on the monitor, you don't really fe...

Re: Early Bird Renewals

How much more information would you like? It tells you the offer is available throughout January, and the ways you can renew. The prices are the same as this season, so I'm not sure what else they could say. Does anybody know how to do this. All I get offered on the Ticketmaster site is Ticket Exch...

Re: January Fixtures

Thanks NewClaret for the link. Being British and even though I've lived in the USA, I had never heard of JJ until he became a Burnley supporter. Each year a TV company bids for EFL broadcast rights. Last time we were in the Championship every Burnley game was shown. CBS who won it this season appear...

January Fixtures

Living in the USA I want to take in the Sunderland game (Jan 18) but don't want to book flights if the game is changed to another day over the weekend. Does anybody know when we know if there are changes for TV please? The Oxford game is the first Clarets to not be televised here in the USA on CBS o...

Re: Colonoscopy

Lord_Bob, I have lived in the USA last 28 years and always have without sedation, though I can only, account for two states, PA and WA.

Re: Colonoscopy

I've had several too, never with sedation, even when polyps were removed. I've liked being able to see the whole process on the TV monitor. The worst bit probably when they turn the camera around to look at the bowel and of course the prior having to flush the system out. I would urge you not to hav...

MLS Game Differences

Saturday night I attended an MLS game, Seattle Sounders v Chicago Fire. As an impartial viewer, I noticed a few differences that others may or may not be aware of. The teams only appeared at the advertised kick off time, so kick off was late. Only the Seattle teams names were announced by the PA, an...

Re: sherpa van 88 final

I especially enjoyed the pre-game played by older players from each side. I too thought the 81k was the highest that season, but seeing the comment from ClaretTony appears I was wrong. Great day though.

Re: Walking in the Yorkshire Dales (favourite routes)

Back in the 70s in Malham you could park your car outside your house or on the road during summer, blimey how that’s changed, you’re lucky if you can get home or leave the village these days, probably like a number of dales villages these days. Still a beautiful part of the dales though. My wife an...

Re: Play off final 2009 - did you enjoy it?

I thought the 2009 Play Off final was great. I had seen us lose the Sherpa Van Trophy,(my first Wembly experience) and enjoyed the play off final against Stockport, but this was better. My son in law had asked me to join him in supporting his team, Bristol City, and treated me to tickets in the 2008...

Re: Tonight's Footy

I was pleased to see Coventry win. The only Burnley game I got my father to attend with me as he was a Villa fan, was the Coventry City v Burnly game where Leighton James scored. It turned out this was Match of the Day on TV that day (in the days when only one match was shown) which we did not know ...

Re: Las Vegas

I guess Vegas is a place to either like or dislike, it's certainly different. I went as a speaker at a conference a few years ago and was surprised by how different it is. The airport is full of slot machines, so on arrival you are immediately alerted to how different it is. I stayed entirely in the...

Re: Tonight’s Football

I agree with Vegasclaret, not supporting your own side, leaving before the end when you are not winning does not make you a true supporter. Like many on here I would never leave before the game was over, win or not.

Sorry, I was fooled by the article sent me.
Burnley played the Portland Timbers as a trip after Wembley play off win. They had the team plus Owen Coyle and Brendon Flood in the party with them.

Did anyone notice he has accepted the Crystal Palace job. Met him in Portland a few years ago, he was injured during the game. Seemed a great guy.

Agree Barnes was good but Westwood, Arfield, Tark, and Vokes all performed well. Great to be there for the win.

Re: Would Anyone Swap Positions With Swansea?

No, and I think we will secure another ten points and end on 46. No need to worry that we are anything but secure. I would also bet on Swansea staying up not Hull.
