Re: Next manager
Why would Cooper be a lazy choice? Not sure I really get what that means. Because he's available and an obvious option to so many. Doesn't make him the right option for me though. It lacks imagination and wouldn't be particularly inspiring. It also doesn't strike me as a clear continuation of what ...

Re: Next manager
I would prefer someone like Knutsen, Rohl or a Thomas Frank/VK replica. Moyes and Cooper are just lazy uninspiring options imo. VK was a superb choice that has almost worked too well. He shouldn't be capable of getting the Bayern job just yet, but because of who is, he's managed to bag it. I'm not s...

Re: "Might never come up again"
I don't agree with this "might never come up again" chat either. I think Dyche will have a tad more confidence in his own ability to keep improving rather than feel he has no alternative but to snatch at an opportunity now before it's gone forever. I personally think if approached he won't go anywhe...

Re: Gray to Watford story
Gray was garbage as far as I'm concerned. Nearly as frustrating as Akinbiyi to watch. That said, we'll struggle to get a half decent replacement in now.

Re: A good Brexit deal is still the biggest issue.
66% of Burnley voted for Brexit. They now have to follow that up, on Thursday with the same vote i.e. Tory. We can't have Corbyn and Diane Abbot in charge of this nation. Abbot and Costello would do a better job. Agree with this, but it's looking like there's a real chance that a growing majority o...

Re: Dyche ------->Palace
This must be how the second season syndrome begins. 16th place finish and it's a battle to keep anyone at the club who can manage a squad or kick a ball.

Re: Odds for 2017/18
Fully expect us to be in the mix at the bottom, but also agree that the likes of Palace, Southampton, Leicester and Watford could be in for a tough season. The summer transfers are going to be huge and I'm hoping that with us surviving the drop we have a bit more to offer to potential targets than t...

Both online Been investing for 30 years and retired (55 years old) and live off the income generated by the unit trusts. The sooner you start the better. Even Einstein dabbled in the stock market and said "compounding is the eighth wonder of the world". This is where I hope to be at 55. Investing a...

Re: Karanka to be Weed man!
I wouldn't know, but if Wood has interest from other clubs I'm sure he's more tempted to leave now that Monk has gone and with the possibility of Karanka in to replace him. Boring, negative football.claretlegend wrote:Why's that? Have they had a fallout?

Re: Karanka to be Weed man!
This would be great news. Should definitely see Chris Wood leaving them now, if he wasn't already keen to go.

Re: Stocks and Shares
I use HL and can highly recommend it. My advice would be to do your research and select a strategy that works for you, but overall, get stuck in. I've bought and held individual shares in the past, but I now only have funds and plan for it to be that way for at least the next five years. Keep a clos...
