Re: England squad named for NZ test series

Much changed from the squad of 12 months ago, I can’t see the need for a spinner (Leach) this summer. Not in English conditions no, and if England do need someone to wheel down a few overs now and again Joe Root is perfectly capable of that task. If the ECB stick to their rotation policy then many ...

England squad named for NZ test series

Plenty of big names not included for a variety of reasons, the headline is the call-up's of James Bracey and Ollie Robinson, plus the recall of Craig Overton who last played for England in 2019. Squad: Joe Root (Yorkshire), James Anderson (Lancashire), James Bracey (Gloucestershire), Stuart Broad (N...

A bumper round of PL games this evening, and some vital ones to boot. Man Utd-Fulham this is a meaningless game really for both sides, but the more interesting aspect will be how the 10,000 inside OT make their feelings towards the Glazers known. Much as I'd love us to complete a double over the scousers I've got to be realistic 1-3, and as long as we offer an improved display from Saturday, I'd be reasonably content with a gritty defeat that would at least restore our pride after Saturday's drubbing.
