For me the thing that p****s me off the most with officiating at the top level is the vast lack of consistency from one game to the next! It’s ridiculous really, and inevitably leaves supporters wondering if their team is being unfairly treated whilst the big boys often seem to get away with it.

I think we can all agree that any further signings need to focus on raising standards and not merely squad fillers.

Whichever way Parker goes, I think the main thing will be to not fall into this trap of playing out from the back at all costs leaving clubs like Southampton on 12 points!

Judging by last season, I think we generally had this balance right and I’m sure this will continue into this season.
