Re: Tannoy announcer

I hope and imagine that they are now working on getting the correct balance of sound (volume and tone) between the different stands. They appear to have a set up now that is much more capable of being tweaked. One problem is getting it set up when the ground is empty as the acoustics will be totally...

New PA system

I’ve complained for long enough so credit where credit is due. The new speakers for the PA system have made it so much better. It can’t have been an easy job getting those speaker arrays up on the edge of the longside roof. I could actually hear everything so much easier in the Bob Lord. Thanks to a...

It’s called a “proportional font” so different characters take different widths. For it to line up you use a “non proportional font” where all characters take same width.

Re: Announcer Vs Lazio

Mounting a few decent speakers and running some wires and then buying the proper amplifiers may well cost say 100k but it’s peanuts compared to the other alterations going on around the ground. They just need to get the correct people in to advise and install it.

Re: Announcer Vs Lazio

There seemed to be some speakers on the longside roof now pointing towards the Bob Lord. Sat at front of Bob Lord was a bit better than last year. Couldn’t tell if speakers in the Bob Lord were on or not. Bottom line, it is still a sound system not fit for purpose. You should only be able to hear th...

Re: Cricket field stand

Giving away multiples of old wooden seats that are less than a full row will always mean lots more legs needed than seats. Ie two people get 3 seats each. Each person gets four legs. That’s one more leg than the original 6 seats had (7 legs). They were bound to run out of legs.

I can’t see the atmosphere improving if we have the best singers (the cricket field fans) next to us lot in the Bob Lord. I think the away fans should go into the first 3 blocks of the longside lower. I would think our fans already sat there would be happy to move to an all claret cricket field stand.

Front few rows of BL can hear the PA clearer but it’s further back where it is impossible. All you hear is double sound from the BL speakers and the speakers in the longside (which must be extremely loud). Maybe therefore it’s audible in the directors’ box. It just needs the output in each stand to ...
