Not many complimentary comments about Edwards tonight. I thought he was poor as well and there's no way he's suited to playing premier league footy, but the mood certainly seems to have shifted on him from last season.

The idea that these changes are to get fans there earlier to go to the fanzone and cheer in the players coach will look a very, very foolish one come the winter if we're struggling to score a goal at home and register a win.

I doubt whether any of us will be surprised if it turns out he’s injured, and I’m not sure he played again in preseason after coming off early in the first half at Shrewsbury.

SP didn’t mention an injury to him in his interview before Spurs, but he might not have been asked.

Apparently the Panjab Warriors, the new owners, are going to appoint a 30 year old called Ashvir Singh Johal as manager. He’s never managed before but is replacing Derek Adams.

I’m so pleased the Morcambe continue to exist. I just hope they’ve landed better owners this time.

Everton have done really well to ride out the pressure of the first 15/20 mins. How many times did we see Championship teams last year concede at Elland road in the first 5/10 mins because the atmosphere and intensity got to them.

A few mentions of Tuanzebe possibly being seen as the central centre back instead of Ekdal who is definitely not the answer at this level.

Can’t stand this league. The script for every game is already written - neat and tidy in the middle third but come up way short in both boxes.
