Agree Xhaka going to Sunderland would be seriously good for them.
If they pull that off, I think it nudges them above ourselves and Leeds, as things stand.

People suggesting Berge are showing a massive lack of knowledge if they think there's any chance of him coming here. He's more likely to go to a top 6 club than to us, had a fantastic season for Fulham. Also people's expectations are way too high if they are disappointed at JBL coming into the squa...

All about opinions isn't it.
I rate him, and hope he signs. But I get it why others think he won't be up to it.
Time will tell, if he signs.
I also think it's sensible to think if we do go down, we very likely come back up, with him and Flemming.

Interesting on Cajuste - looks like would be a good addition given that the ITFC fans seemed to rate him.
I did not watch that much Prem las year, as was too engrossed with the Clarets - anyone seen enough of him to comment on his abilities / how he would fit in? Josh Laurent upgrade assume?

Would be very handy to retain him - our current back 5 (with the new lads), if they stay fit, gives us a chance of being competitive this year - it's front footed (full backs), fast, and all now have top level experience.
Very much hope we can keep it together.

And try and get an emerging striker from the continent / maybe the fella from Millwall if he is up to it.

I think we play Laurent as Vini S is a fair old beast and also JL that bit more experienced and finally Hannibal more technical and more of a risk taker which we may need if we go behind. Even though he played the 120 yesterday let's give him 30s (on as a sub) and 65s (starts) from the left. If he does play up top, as mentioned, not back to goal, we need to have the confidence to release the ball, play the channels. We are playing with a bit more freedom now, probably because we know...

So my 93 / 94 looks too high based on history. But 92 is the run rate as things stand - see us and Sheff (and that's ignoring Sheff's 2 point deduction). Leeds are marginally above. Guess it generally drops second half of the season though as the lower placed teams get more desperate at the end and ...

Re: Points needed for automatic promotion
I think it indicates the top 4 (and I possibly rather arrogantly think Sunderland, despite playing great footy, may just drop off) are a fair way ahead of the rest, so *more* points will be needed, as more points are being taken from the rest of the league. Hopefully things do slow down a bit, and i...

I hear you Stonehouse, does look like it might take 93 / 94 points though this year to grab 2nd. Not trying to nit pick, just seems that it will take a bit more than usual, last year aside. 92 points and your 50/50 I reckon to go up.

It's a seemingly 4 horse race and they (Sheff U) are a big threat, no doubt. And they have players coming back. Soutter a big miss though.
